Our Client a global market leader in customized plant specialized in the rolling and dies cast of metallurgical products is currently looking for a pipefitter-welder.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the maintenance director, you will be responsible for making all of the verification work needed, as well as, repairs, maintenance, modification and installation of hosing (plumbing, heating, burning and steam) and all other mechanical procedures within the plant. You will see to:

• Read and interpret the drawing plans and specifications in order to determine the adequate types of conducts; define and plan task priorities;
• Mount and install the fixtures and carry out all other work related to installation maintenance;
• Cut the necessary openings in the walls, floors, ceilings for the hoses by using the manual and mechanical tools or machines;
• Measure, cut, tap and bend the hoses with appropriate tools;
• Assemble the network line elements by welding, stirring, adhesive bonding, threading;
• Install the pipe supports, the control systems, valves and fittings;
• Verify the tightness of the parts with the use of appropriate testing tools;
• Clean and maintain the piping elements and replace the used parts when necessary;
• Carry out all other general welding tasks within the plant.

Required qualification

• PED in industrial maintenance of hosing systems or in refrigeration or all other relevant training;
• 3 years (minimum) of pertinent experience;
• Certified ITG diploma (installation of natural gas hosing systems) (an asset).
• Excellent welding knowledge.
