Our client, one of Canada's most successful web entrepreneur is starting a new venture. The new venture aims at being a world leader in the fields of sports, health, fitness and beauty. While providing the security of being part of an internet conglomerate, our client provides the growth opportunities of a startup and is currently in the process of building its team to launch a state of the art health suite of products, and a highly trafficked sports website and is presently searching for a highly ambitious and highly talented web programmer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Operations manager, you will have as a mandate as the senior programmer to take part to all the internet programming activities under a new project related to the development of web applications and the management of data. You will see to:

• Carry out the programming of Web pages with XHTML/CSS/AJAX;
• Carry out the programming of Web pages with object oriented programming (PHP5);
• Program web site based on databases with MySQL;
• Design, develop and write up functional specifications required during process development;
• Diagnose and repair software problems.

Required qualification

• DCS or CEA in computers, Bachelor in computer science or any other pertinent training;
• Minimum of 5 years experience pertinent to programming;
• Expert in MySQL ,PHP 5 ,front end integration (from PSD to full website), CSS, MySQL, XHTML 1.0, jQuery, AJAX and ability to write complex queries;
• Basic Flash and systems administration knowledge;
• Knowledge of scalability requirements for high traffic sites (memcache, etc.);
• Knowledge of search engine friendly web programming;
• Able to easily communicate in English.
