Project manager

Notre client, une jeune et dynamique entreprise spécialisée dans la conception et la fabrication de projets structuraux en aluminium (ponts piétonniers, structures marines et architecturales, etc.) et étant en mesure d’offrir des projets clé en main aux firmes d’ingénierie et d’architecture, aux entrepreneurs généraux, aux entreprises manufacturières ou encore aux municipalités, est actuellement à la recherche d’un(e) chargé(e) de projets.

Nature of position

Sous la supervision de la direction, vous serez responsable de planifier et mener à bien différents projets réalisés par l’entreprise. Pour ce faire, vous communiquerez avec les différents intervenants des projets et assurerez une coordination adéquate en plus de négocier les coûts et délais, d’administrer les contrats et d’assister les départements concernés dans les études des devis et contrats, les échéanciers, la facturation, etc. À ce titre vous verrez à:

  • Manage and plan various company projects, including marina projects ;
  • Communicate effectively with the different clients and professionals on the projects ;
  • Negotiate costs and deadlines in the realization of different projects ;
  • Coordinate the various subcontractors on the installation sites ;
  • Support the site supervisors ;
  • Assist the sales department with the study of quotes and contracts, create preliminary schedules ;
  • Carry out the general planning of the different projects of the company with the help of the other departments ;
  • Make the different project schedules for the clients (MS projects or other) ;
  • Administer contracts in order to respect budgets and established deadlines ;
  • Coordinate invoicing with the accounting department ;
  • Propose continuous improvement plans in order to optimize work time for each project ;
  • Communicate effectively with the various departments in particular to meet the needs of production and customers ;
  • Participate in management meetings and analysis of critical elements of the different projects ;
  • Aim for high quality of the different employees and subcontractors ;
  • Analyze project costs in order to promote the company's profitability ;
  • Write purchases and issue special purchase orders ;
  • Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or other relevant education ;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience ;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks ;
  • Bilingualism in French and English (spoken and written) ;
  • Autonomous, while having a sense of teamwork ;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset) ;
  • Have a sense of responsibility, priorities and organization.
