Site manager and installation

Our customer, a company specializing in the design, manufacture, repair and installation of equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries, is currently looking for a Site manager and installation.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising worksites and representing the company's interests on projects under your responsibility. More specifically, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of site activities between all parties involved, within the specified budget, time and quality parameters. As such you will :

  • Plan and organize jobsite activities using work orders, drawings, manufacturing routines and methods, etc. ;
  • Ensure the availability of material and human resources needed to create the production order;
  • Ensure compliance with quoted times by optimizing methods ;
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules (OHS) ;
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines, material budgets and project times ;
  • Be responsible for the quality of work ;
  • Monitor activities and determine extras ;
  • Provide organizational and equipment ideas to improve work performance ;
  • Control the minimum inventory of basic parts, make releases on projects and set up a replenishment system ;
  • Control the quick access system for basic parts (possibility of cabinets and containers on larger projects) ;
  • Plan material requirements in advance ;
  • Eliminate last-minute orders ;
  • Return and file inventories in the factory ;
  • Ensure that equipment and tooling are kept in order ;
  • Take full responsibility for keeping service units in order, and perform regular maintenance ;
  • Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, DEC in mechanical engineering or DEP in industrial mechanics, or other relevant training ;
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant experience ;
  • Demonstrate strong planning and organizational skills ;
  • Demonstrate tact and professionalism at all times ;
  • Good command of French and English (spoken and written) ;
  • Valid driver's license.
