Our client is a well-established company specializing in the development, installation and implementation of geotechnical and structural monitoring systems, and in acoustic and vibration control. It has achievements in more than fifteen countries and in order to support its sales team, it is currently looking for an internal sales and technical support specialist.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the President, your main mandate will be to see to the marketing and sale of the company's products and services and to provide technical advice to customers on the products and services offered. In addition, you will make sure to maintain excellent customer relations and see to the achievement of the company's revenue and profitability objectives. As such you will see at:
- Analyze the technical needs in instrumentation and the particular clauses for the calls for tenders and carry out the cost estimate;
- Write technical proposals, including selling prices;
- Develop and present remote monitoring solutions;
- Manage customer files, from request/proposal to invoicing (full cycle including purchases);
- Organize reminders and follow-ups in a structured way, including supplier and customer order confirmations and deliveries;
- Complete and maintain company records, including opportunities, quotes, orders and customer information;
- Contribute to the analysis of opportunities and developments with the sales team;
- Attend exhibitions and technical conferences for the company;
- Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree or DEC in a discipline related to science and engineering (civil engineering, construction engineering, geological engineering, mining and mineral processing engineering, mineral technology, physical technology) or other relevant training;
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience in the sector of civil engineering, geological engineering, mining engineering, etc. ;
- Have specific knowledge of the field of instrumentation (an asset);
- Know how to write structured documents, containing information of a more or less complex and varied nature;
- Know how to plan and organize their work to meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication and possess the sense of interpersonal relations;
- Excellent teamwork;
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken;
- Possess a valid passport and driver's license.
