Notre client, une importante entreprise manufacturière, solidement établie au Québec depuis plus de 70 ans, est actuellement à la recherche d’un superviseur maintenance.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, your main mandate will be to supervise and coordinate the general maintenance of equipment and/or machinery. In addition, you will supervise personnel, internal or external, who perform mechanical, tool making and/or machine shop, plumbing, welding and automotive maintenance work. As such you will see:
- Manage work teams by ensuring compliance with organizational policies, priorities and achievement of performance objectives;
- Establish performance standards, identify discrepancies, implement appropriate corrective measures and highlight good performance;
- Plan, organize, supervise the work of the maintenance team;
- Estimate hours needed to complete tasks, prepare work schedules, assign work and inspect completed projects to ensure work meets quality standards;
- Prepare work authorizations for subcontractors;
- Monitor the work and assess deviations in order to optimize the work;
- Review and authorize regular hours as well as overtime assigned to minimize labor costs;
- Organize and lead team meetings in order to make continuous improvements;
- Ensure the availability of equipment for production and the proper functioning of operations;
- Maintain a respectful and efficient work environment;
- Effectuer toute autre tâche compatible avec vos fonctions.
Required qualification
- DEC in industrial maintenance, DEP in electromechanics, industrial mechanics or any other relevant training;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, including 2 in the management of a work team;
- Management experience in a unionized environment will be considered an asset;
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Have a sense of responsibility and communication skills.
