Our client, a general construction contractor specializing in civil engineering work (aqueduct, sewer, infrastructure, etc.) firmly established in Montérégie and enjoying an excellent reputation, is currently looking for a project manager.
Nature of position
In collaboration with the management of the company, your main mandate will be to carry out the planning, organization, direction and control of the work of various projects in addition to occasionally participating in the estimation of project costs. As such, you will see:
- Participate in the management of various civil engineering projects;
- Establish the work schedule;
- Plan work teams;
- Participate in the implementation of budgets for various projects and produce various reports;
- Highlight the potential risks of the projects submitted;
- Monitoring of project costs;
- Communicate with clients on all project issues;
- Perform the preparation of preliminary budgets in certain projects;
- Negotiate final costs with subcontractors;
- Perform project management;
- Participate in various site meetings (administration, technical and coordination);
- Ensure the administrative aspect of the sites: reports, notice of changes and/or extras or any other amendment to the project;
- Ensure the required quality standards as stipulated in the contractual documents;
- Participate in the development of bids and estimates;
- Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, or Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, or DEC in civil engineering, or other relevant training;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field;
- Knowledge of Quebec construction laws and regulations;
- Knowledge and mastery of Word, Excel, and MS Project software;
- Hold the ASP card (site safety) an asset;
- Be able to read plans and specifications.
