Project Manager, Asset Management

Our client, an organization representing municipalities of all sizes and from all regions of Quebec, working daily to represent the interests of its members to governments in addition to offering a growing range of commercial services and privileges and ensuring that its members are the best informed about the municipal world through its publications, activities and training, is currently looking for a project manager for asset management.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of Member Services, Procurement and Insurance, you will be called upon to play a key role in strategically supporting members in the implementation of an asset management plan, in particular, by organizing workshops and targeted training on the subject, by implementing decision-making tools and creating discussion forums so that municipalities can network with each other as well as with recognized experts. As such you will see to:

  • Raise awareness and support municipalities on the different stages and tools available to create an asset management plan;
  • Organize training and information sessions with experts;
  • Participate in tables or committees with municipalities, partners or government entities;
  • Identify the challenges encountered by municipalities in developing asset management plans and develop targeted training to support them;
  • Lead discussion forums between municipalities;
  • Build and maintain links with the main partners in the ecosystem;
  • Develop decision-making tools with partners to support municipalities;
  • Collaborate on the content of relevant communication tools;
  • Ensure strategic monitoring in the management of municipal assets;
  • Carry out reporting to government bodies;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Undergraduate university degree in public administration, engineering or any other relevant field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the municipal environment or in a related field;
  • Marked interest in the municipal sector;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite software;
  • Excellent spoken and written French;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain good relationships with municipal officials (both elected officials and management), the government and external partners;
  • Project management skills and strong command of priority management.
