Our client, a solidly established company specializing in the development and manufacturing of a diverse range of electrical equipment, is currently looking, in order to continue its growth, for a health, safety & security coordinator. environment.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the industrial director, your main mandate will be to contribute to the development and maintenance of the corporate culture in terms of health, safety and the environment. In addition, you will work alongside employees and managers to provide and implement concrete solutions to problems encountered and will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental management systems. As such, you will see to:
- Maintain compliance with laws and regulations in force regarding health, safety and environmental management;
- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 14001 system;
- Prepare and lead monthly SSTE committees;
- Coordinate the implementation and implementation of improvement projects with the industrial team; Weight the OSTE budget;
- Manage purchases and inventory of personal protective equipment for all employees (collaboration with the buyer/storekeeper;
- Maintain and update lockout systems, WHMIS, management of residual hazardous materials, 5S Audit, OHS management, ISO 45001:2018, etc. ;
- Ensure floor monitoring by carrying out awareness and prevention and maintaining the emergency measure plan;
- Carry out accident investigations and present the various OSH statistics;
- Collaborate in updating training with the internal trainer;
- Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- University studies in a related field or any other relevant training;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in health, safety and environment within manufacturing companies;
- Excellent knowledge of OSTE laws and regulations in Quebec;
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
- Knowledge of the electrical field, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, would be an asset;
- Communication skills and teamwork;
- Have ease of adaptation and resourcefulness;
