Our client, a well-established company specializing in the development and manufacturing of a diverse range of electrical equipment, is currently looking for a manufacturing project manager to continue its growth.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the industrial director, your main mandate will be to coordinate, plan and carry out improvement projects of various natures. In addition, you will work alongside the maintenance team to identify and implement innovative technical solutions to resolve operational challenges. As such, you will see to:
- Prepare investment projects and coordinate their implementation (CAPEX);
- Define technical needs and collaborate with operators to identify the best solutions;
- Develop quotes and technical specifications;
- Coordinate workshop and working method redevelopment projects while respecting 5S and EHS principles;
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to carry out improvement projects of various kinds;
- Technically support production and the maintenance department;
- Develop and implement different solutions to make machines more reliable, secure and more efficient;
- Design and draw specialized tools, then orchestrate their manufacturing;
- Propose and implement solutions that increase assembly efficiency;
- Perform any other related task relating to production support.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, DEC in mechanical engineering or other relevant training;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector;
- Fluency in French and English, both oral and written;
- Experience in engineering project management as well as technical solutions;
- Knowledge of “Lean Manufacturing” concepts;
- Knowledge of CMMS software “INTERAL” or other (an asset);
- Ability in 2D (AUTOCAD) and 3D (INVENTOR) drawing;
