Our client, a company acting as both general contractor and subcontractor, specializing in process mechanics in the municipal and industrial sectors, and mastering all aspects of installation, maintenance and commissioning of water treatment and industrial piping systems, is currently looking for an automation and electrical site technician.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the Execution Manager, you will be responsible for connections, calibration and commissioning, as well as taking part in the integration of PLCs and interfaces. In addition, you will actively participate in the implementation phases, the final implementation and you will be responsible for carrying out the various tests required by the project, as well as writing the final reports. As such you will :
- Participate in the design of automation projects ;
- Develop implementation strategies in collaboration with the project manager ;
- Connect control wiring ;
- Perform pre-operational checks ;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot ;
- Calibrate control equipment ;
- Carry out and help commission control systems ;
- Program PLCs and operator interfaces ;
- Write reports, operating manuals and as-built drawings ;
- Train operators ;
- Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.
Required qualification
- DEP in electromechanics, DEC in electrodynamics, DEC in industrial electronics, AEC in instrumentation & control or other relevant training ;
- At least 1 year's relevant experience ;
- Good knowledge of English (an asset) ;
- Adaptability and communication skills ;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills ;
- Work in compliance with health and safety policies and standards.
