Our client, a company acting as both general contractor and subcontractor, specializing in process mechanics in the municipal and industrial sectors, and mastering all aspects of installation, maintenance and commissioning of water treatment and industrial piping systems, is currently looking for an Electrical project manager.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the Execution Manager, your main mandate will be to plan, schedule, organize, direct, control and evaluate projects, in collaboration with the company's entire team of professionals, in addition to managing customer relations and monitoring schedules and budgets. As such you will :
- Plan, direct and complete projects on time and on budget ;
- Interpret and apply elements of plans and specifications ;
- Purchase site-specific materials and equipment ;
- Complete, negotiate and approve all documents related to your projects (notices of changes, deficiencies, accounts, PIE, delivery memos, shop drawings) ;
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial standards and legislation ;
- Coordinate and manage tasks and work (customers, electricians, assistant project manager, suppliers, subcontractors, carriers) ;
- Ensure excellent communication between the various parties involved ;
- Participate in the development of work safety procedures ;
- Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.
Required qualification
- University degree or technical training in a relevant field of study ;
- At least 2 years' relevant experience in project management ;
- Knowledge of MS Project and the Microsoft Office suite (an asset) ;
- Experience in the construction industry (an asset) ;
- Valid driver's license ;
- Advanced level of written and spoken English ;
- Commitment to project success and profitability ;
- Very good ability to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously ;
- Strong sense of priorities, problem-solving and results-oriented.
