Our client, a company established for nearly 20 years on the south shore of Quebec, offering metal structure drawing services to a diverse clientele, is currently looking, in order to continue its growth, for a structural designer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company's management, your main mandate will be to model steel frames as well as edit 2D manufacturing drawings. As such, you will see to:

• Establish the structural framework based on the engineer's concept;
• Perform complete 3D modeling on Tekla software;
• Carry out the drawing;
• Ensure that the orthographic and isometric presentation of the drawings allows precise reading in the factory and on site;
• Review sketches, drawings, specifications and other engineering data received from engineers to ensure they are in compliance with the design concepts;
• Produce files for machine tools (PDF, DXF NC, etc.);
• Ensure that the documents will be completed according to deadlines;
• Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

• DEC in civil engineering, architecture, DEP in building design or other relevant training;
• Mastery of 3D structural modeling software (Tekla, Revit, SDS2, etc.);
• Able to communicate effectively;
• Be creative, show initiative and resourcefulness.
