Nature of position

Our client, a company acting both as a general contractor and subcontractor, specializing in process mechanics for the municipal and industrial sectors and mastering all aspects of installation, maintenance, and commissioning of water treatment and industrial piping systems, is currently seeking an Electrical Estimator.

• Read, analyze, and interpret electrical plans and specifications;
• Evaluate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting;
• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing;
• Estimate the labor hours required to complete projects;
• Perform any other tasks consistent with your role.

Required qualification

• Education in electrical engineering (Bachelor's degree, DEC, or equivalent) or a related field, or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the electrical field;
• Experience in estimation will be considered an asset;
• Strong knowledge of industrial electricity and processes applied to the construction sector;
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and English (English proficiency is preferred for this position, as it allows proper communication with suppliers and partners);
• Excellent communication skills and team spirit;
• Rigor, attention to detail, and organizational skills;
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
