Project Manager – New Product Introduction (NPI)

Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in the development and production of electronic components. Currently, our client is seeking a Project Manager – New Product Introduction.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be involved in the new product introduction process by ensuring product manufacturability and quality, developing production processes and documentation, and ultimately leading to the successful launch of the product, on time and within budget. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing one or more new product introduction projects;
  • Planning project deliverables and milestones and defining a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS);
  • Developing a detailed project schedule and integrating the planning of all required resources;
  • Maintaining a risk register to develop contingency plans and implementing action plans to reduce risks, shorten project development time, and increase the quality of deliverables;
  • Handling communications and facilitating them at all levels (within the project team, internally within the company, and externally with clients);
  • Managing project costs and the Work in Progress (WIP) of prototype batches to keep the project within planned costs while minimizing risks;
  • Managing the costs and revenues of Time and Material projects within the SAP environment;
  • Managing, guiding, and supporting the various units and professionals working on the projects to ensure objectives are met;
  • Taking responsibility for internal and external documentation related to project execution;
  • Performing any other related tasks associated with your responsibilities.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, physical, mechanical engineering, or any other relevant scientific field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Proven experience in project management;
  • 5 years of experience in the development and introduction of new MEMS processes and products (an asset);
  • Proficiency in both French and English (English language skills are required for this position to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and partners).
