Project Manager – Biogas and Geoenvironment

Our client, a company providing technologies, solutions, and engineering services in the fields of industrial air pollution control, landfill gas, coal mine methane, and waste-to-energy recovery—while also being a fully integrated international developer of greenhouse gas emission reduction projects—is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the division director, you will play a key role in the execution, coordination, and monitoring of projects related to biogas and environmental management. In this capacity, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting and analyzing data from sampling campaigns (water, biogas, soil);
  • Drafting various technical reports: environmental monitoring, operation reports, applications or follow-ups for environmental authorization certificates;
  • Ensuring the quality, rigor, and technical consistency of deliverables;
  • Planning and managing contractual follow-up of schedules, deliverables, budgets, and work quality;
  • Managing purchases of materials, equipment, and instruments required for projects;
  • Remotely supervising biogas collection and treatment operations;
  • Coordinating the work of subcontractors and analysis laboratories;
  • Maintaining smooth communication between internal teams and external partners;
  • Participating in the planning and supervision of sampling campaigns and on-site calibrations;
  • Implementing and enforcing health and safety measures;
  • Coordinating inspections and ensuring the smooth progress of on-site activities;
  • Contributing to the development of service offers and preparation of technical proposals;
  • Actively participating in internal strategic and project coordination meetings;
  • Representing the company with clients, partners, and authorities during visits or technical meetings;
  • Performing any other tasks compatible with your role.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Geological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or any related engineering discipline;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec's Order of Engineers);
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
  • Good understanding of environmental laws and regulations (an asset);
  • Ability to analyze data, synthesize findings, and produce reports and technical recommendations;
  • Excellent communication skills with teams and clients;
  • Holder of the ASP Construction card.
