Our client, a Canadian company providing construction and infrastructure services, positioned among the leaders in its field and active in numerous sectors such as commercial and public buildings, civil infrastructure, healthcare, education, industrial, residential, and many others, is currently seeking a Project Manager.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of large-scale projects, from initial development through to final delivery. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners (clients, consultants, contractors) to ensure commitments are met in terms of budget, schedule, quality, and safety. You will ensure that the company's standards, processes, and culture are upheld and reinforced throughout the project lifecycle. As such, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring effective and professional project management in order to secure new projects through competitive bidding processes, anticipating competitors' responses and seeking to positively differentiate the company's proposal;
  • Assuming a leadership role by directing, controlling, and managing service providers, advisors/consultants, and contractors to coordinate their contributions to project proposals in a timely manner, and ensuring innovative, cost-effective, high-quali
  • Managing all deliverables and milestones, including risk management and monitoring throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification through to construction and operational handover. Providing accurate reporting to mana

  • Performing any other duties consistent with your role.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or any other relevant field;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager on large-scale projects;
  • Experience in major institutional, commercial, or industrial buildings is absolutely essential;
  • Bilingual in French and English (fluency in English is essential for this role, as it facilitates communication with a diverse range of partners);
  • Understanding of contract law;
  • Highly developed skills in project management and development, with a proven track record managing complex projects;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills;
  • Solid analytical skills and a professional attitude to drive major capital works.
