Our client, an engineering firm specialized in structural design with over 4,500 completed projects in the building, energy production, mining, and industrial sectors, offers consulting services tailored to client needs along with optimal and efficient solutions. The firm is currently seeking a Project Engineer – Structural Engineering for its facilities located in the Québec region.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for designing building structures and managing various projects carried out by the company. In this role, you will be expected to:

• Design and size steel, reinforced concrete, and wood structures in accordance with current codes and regulations;
• Supervise the production of plans, sign and seal them;
• Manage and coordinate small, medium, and large-scale structural engineering projects;
• Conduct site surveys and inspections on existing structures;
• Supervise and train junior engineers in their professional development;
• Write technical reports and participate in site meetings to monitor project progress;
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate structural design with other disciplines;
• Perform any other tasks consistent with your role.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or other relevant engineering fields;
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or eligible for membership;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in building structure design;
• Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written);
• Proficiency in finite element and dynamic analysis software (SAFI, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE);
• Holder of the ASP Construction certification;
• Dynamic, autonomous, motivated, and detail-oriented individual;
• Excellent teamwork skills.
