Project Manager (Industrial Equipment)
Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the design, production, and installation of vibrating systems and material handling equipment, is currently seeking a Project Manager.
Nature of position
Reporting to company management, your mandate will be to successfully lead equipment manufacturing projects from the design phase through to delivery. You will work in collaboration with the entire team of professionals within the company, manage the client relationship, and monitor project timelines and budgets. In this role, you will:
- Develop and manage the project schedule to ensure deadlines and objectives are met;
- Act as the main point of contact for the client, ensuring transparent and effective communication throughout the project;
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, production, quality) and external partners (suppliers, subcontractors) to synchronize development activities;
- Identify and mitigate project risks by implementing preventive and corrective measures;
- Coordinate and supervise equipment installation at client sites;
- Work with field teams to ensure commissioning meets the required specifications;
- Manage necessary adjustments to accommodate specific site conditions;
- Actively participate in design reviews;
- Contribute to the development of innovative new equipment and the improvement of existing equipment;
- Take part in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and manufacturing processes;
- Conduct post-project analyses to identify areas for improvement;
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, DEC in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant training;
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
- Proven expertise in industrial project management;
- Proficiency in both spoken and written French and English (an intermediate level of English is essential for this role, as it facilitates communication with a diverse range of partners);
- Strong planning and organizational skills;
- Knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD and Inventor) is an asset.
