Our client, an international company specializing in industrial automation solutions and professional and continuing technical education, is a major player in the development of advanced technologies for a wide range of industries. With a presence in over 60 countries and a commitment to sustainability and innovation, this organization brings together a team of technical experts, engineers, and designers to transform industrial processes on a global scale. Currently, our client is seeking an Electronics Engineer/Designer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Engineering Department, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of hardware and firmware systems integrated into educational solutions. You will be involved in printed circuit board design, component selection, and will work closely with the software design and educational design teams to create innovative and accessible solutions for the institutions and industries served by the company. As such, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and prototyping electronic devices integrated into the company's portfolio in the field of electronics education across various domains;
  • Contributing to all stages of the development process (analysis – development – testing – implementation – maintenance);
  • Developing firmware for new products and maintaining existing products;
  • Designing circuits with microcontrollers or programmable electronics and creating printed circuit boards;
  • Providing technical support to the production and customer service teams;
  • Collaborating with the product management, software development, educational design, certification teams, and other specialties within the product development department;
  • Keeping up to date with new technologies to enhance educational solutions;
  • Performing any other related tasks connected to your responsibilities.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant education;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic design;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset);
  • Strong knowledge of analog electronics, microcontroller programming (VHDL is an asset), C/C++, Linux, and PCB design;
  • Proficiency in French (spoken and written) and English (primarily written, for communication with international clients, suppliers, and colleagues);
  • Strong sense of code quality, as well as good programming practices and architecture.
