Retail Network Director
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Québec for over 65 years, specialized in the development and production of products for the residential construction sector, is currently seeking a Retail Network Director.
Nature of position
Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales and Marketing, you will be responsible for the development, performance, and growth of the retail network across the served territory. You will act as a strategic pillar between the company and its partners, ensuring alignment of sales, marketing, and operational objectives. In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement a retail network development strategy (expansion, retention, and performance);
- Establish strong partnerships with existing and potential retailers;
- Monitor retailer performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement plans;
- Define sales and growth objectives for the network;

- Collaborate with internal teams from customer service, logistics, and technical support to ensure optimal service for retailers;
- Support the Marketing and Sales Operations Director with new retailer openings, sales tools, and marketing initiatives and campaigns aimed at retailers;
- Support the person in charge of training, particularly for onboarding new representatives, product training, and the use of the quoting system;
- Participate in trade shows, events, and business meetings to promote the brand and recruit new partners;
- Ensure brand image is maintained during trade shows (products and staff);
- Keep product inventory for trade shows up to date in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator;
- Be available to work occasional weekends during home shows;
- Perform any other tasks related to your role.
Required qualification
- University degree in a relevant field, college diploma in business administration, retail management, or any other related training;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing distribution or sales networks;
- Strong knowledge of technical and regulatory aspects of the construction industry;
- Knowledge of the window and door distributor network in Québec (an asset);
- Excellent written and spoken French, functional English;
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (frequent travel required);
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a manufacturing ERP system;
- Willingness to travel frequently to visit retailers;
- Strategic vision and strong business acumen.
