Procurement Officer
Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the production of parts for the automotive sector, serving clients in North America, Europe, and Asia, is currently seeking a Procurement Officer for its state-of-the-art facilities.
Nature of position
Reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Manager, your main responsibility will be to manage the procurement of goods and services required for the smooth operation of the company, ensuring quality, cost control, and timely delivery. In this role, you will:
- Understand purchasing agreements with suppliers;
- Update parameters in our ERP system;
- Create and enter purchase orders and ensure proper follow-up;
- Ensure ordered products are available;
- Check the condition of items;
- Review and maintain warehouse organization;
- Maintain the hazardous materials management system;
- Keep the order register and inventory of available items up to date;
- Perform any other tasks related to your role.
Required qualification
- College diploma (DEC) in Operations and Logistics Management, Administrative Techniques, or other relevant training;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
- Proficiency in standard computer tools;
- Fluency in spoken and written French and a level of English (spoken and written) sufficient to communicate easily with suppliers;
- Good knowledge of SolidWorks software (an asset);
- Rigor, autonomy, and initiative.
