Mechanical Technician
Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the production of parts for the automotive sector and serving clients in North America, Europe, and Asia, is currently seeking, for its state-of-the-art facilities, a Mechanical Technician.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the Engineering Coordinator, your main responsibility will be to contribute to the proper functioning of mechanical systems and machinery. In this capacity, you will:
- Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and schematics;
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment;
- Participate in the modification and optimization of existing or new equipment;
- Install and test new equipment and prototypes while meeting established deadlines;
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment;
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations;
- Participate in training employees on equipment, adjustments, and procedures;
- Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology, DEP in Industrial Drafting, or other relevant training;
- Autonomy and experience with CAD software (SolidWorks is an asset);
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (an asset);
- Proficiency with common computer tools.
