Project Manager in Municipal Infrastructure

Our client, a consulting firm offering a full range of advisory services in civil engineering and structural engineering to clients in both the public and private sectors, is currently seeking a Project Manager in Municipal Infrastructure.

Nature of position

In collaboration with the project management team, the Project Manager in Municipal Infrastructure will participate in the realization of several projects involving municipal infrastructure, drainage, and potable water and wastewater treatment systems for various government departments, cities, and municipalities. In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Plan, design, and manage municipal infrastructure projects;
  • Develop detailed plans, technical specifications, and budgets for projects;
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including team coordination, contract management, regulatory compliance monitoring, and cost management;
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including contractors, government agencies, and cross-functional teams;
  • Ensure the quality and sustainability of projects, ensuring they meet the municipality's high standards;
  • Manage challenges and risks by proposing creative and effective solutions to problems;
  • Communicate transparently with stakeholders and provide regular reports on project progress;
  • Coordinate project and site monitoring;
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers;
  • Ensure technical coordination and follow-up with various stakeholders involved;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering;
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in municipal infrastructure;
  • Must be a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (Quebec Order of Engineers);
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, PCSwim, and Epanet;
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset;
  • Good knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework applicable to municipal infrastructure and environment in Quebec;
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and stay updated on innovations in civil engineering;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail.
