Our client, a company specializing in the design and manufacturing of modular units and automation tools for process optimization and industrial control, offering turnkey solutions to manufacturing companies serving the cosmetics markets, pharmaceutical and agri-food industry, is currently looking for an automation technician.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the company's management, your main mandate will be to program automation systems in addition to participating in workshop assembly activities, installation and start-up of equipment at customer sites. As such you will see to:
- Carry out the design and programming of automated systems (simple or complex) on different types of automatons and operator interfaces (HMI);
- Carry out the installation and troubleshooting of automated systems;
- Participate in the start-up of systems at client's premises;
- Produce technical documents relating to the maintenance of an automated system;
- Ensure that the systems sold are functional in the production context and that they meet customer expectations;
- Carry out the configuration of speed variators;
- Carry out instrumentation configuration and put them into operation;
- Occasionally provide emergency services;
- Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- Diploma in industrial electronics, automation or electrical engineering. All other combinations of relevant training and experience will also be considered;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in automation;
- Given occasional travel to Canada and the United States, functional bilingualism (spoken and written French and English) is required;
- Knowledge of PLC programming (Grafcet, Ladder and Remote I/O);
- Knowledge of Rockwell (Allen-Bradley) RS studio 5000, FT view SE products. ME, will be considered an asset;
- Hold a valid driving license;
- Hold a passport and be available for occasional travel.
