Technical Sales Representative (HVAC)

Our client, an innovative leader in the design, engineering and production of integrated solutions for the building fluid flow equipment industry, operating plants on 3 continents, is currently looking for a Sales Representative for the Quebec City area and surrounding territories.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all activities related to the daily sales of the company's products. In addition, you will be responsible for the implementation of sales strategies to achieve personal and group sales objectives while respecting customer satisfaction. As such, you will :

  • Manages assigned sales territory within Company pricing guidelines ;
  • Coordinates all related activities in the sales territory. Provides feedback to other departments as required ;
  • Responsible for getting product specified with consulting engineers in Montreal and communicating the company value proposition to engineers, contractors, and owners ;
  • Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with all sales channels (owners, wholesalers, OEM, mechanical contractors, pump, and repair shops) ;
  • Responsible to assist in establishing goals and objectives for the Sales group ;
  • Supports special projects as assigned by management ;
  • Produces bi-weekly market activity reports and update activities on CRM ;
  • Prepare and submit bids and perform order processing ;
  • Measures and reports daily/quarterly/annual reports as required by management ;
  • Maintains customer and competitor records and participates in Sales Planning Sessions ;
  • Interacts with Company marketing operatives to provide feedback on initiatives ;
  • Analyzes and reports customer feedback for continuous market share improvement ;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

  • University degree or college diploma in a building mechanics, mechanical engineering program, or other relevant training ;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience ;
  • Knowledge of HVAC products and systems ;
  • Bilingualism, in French and English, both written and spoken ;
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills ;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ;
  • Good autonomy and ability to work independently ;
  • Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified manner, perform root cause analysis, and make clear and thoughtful recommendations ;
  • Possess strong team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a penchant for action.
