Our client, a general contractor firmly established in the Quebec and Montreal regions, specializing in the repair and restoration of concrete structures, is currently seeking a Project Manager.
Nature of position
In collaboration with company management, your main responsibility will be to carry out the planning, organization, direction, and control of various project works. As such, you will be expected to:
- Participate in the management of various building restoration projects;
- Establish work schedules;
- Plan work methods;
- Plan work teams;
- Monitor project costs;
- Communicate with clients and professionals for work coordination;
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers;
- Attend various site meetings (administrative, technical, and coordination);
- Manage administrative aspects of the sites: reports, change notices and/or extras, or any other project amendments;
- Ensure the implementation and application of occupational health and safety measures;
- Ensure the required quality standards as stipulated in contractual documents;
- Perform any other tasks consistent with your role.
Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, DEC in Civil Engineering, or other relevant engineering training;
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in building or civil engineering work;
- Proficiency in MS Project;
- Functional bilingualism (spoken and written French and English);
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
