Our client, a company with over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing, sales, and installation of water treatment systems—primarily for the institutional and commercial sectors, but also for residential use—is currently seeking a Service Technician.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of company management, your mandate will be to maintain the various potable water treatment systems distributed by the company in the institutional and commercial sectors. You may also be required to install equipment at client sites. As such, you will be expected to:
- Perform maintenance on equipment at client locations with diligence and professionalism;
- Analyze issues (instrumentation/control, process mechanics, etc.) and implement appropriate solutions;
- Provide phone support to clients as needed;
- Maintain and manage the equipment and parts provided to you to ensure your ability to respond to service requests in a timely manner;
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe at all times, and act in a legal and safe manner on client sites;
- Complete all required administrative and reporting tasks;
- Carry out equipment installations at client locations;
- Promote a culture of excellence and a customer-focused service approach;
- Perform any other duties consistent with your role.
Required qualification
- DEC in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, DEP in Electromechanics of Automated Systems, or other relevant training;
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds;
- Functional bilingualism (spoken and written French and English);
- Solid knowledge of instrumentation and control systems;
- Experience in process mechanics and/or water treatment will be considered an a
- Willingness to occasionally work outside the Greater Montreal area;
- Organized, autonomous, and positive attitude;
- Possession of a car and a valid driver’s license.
