Inside Sales Specialist and Technical Support – Geotechnical Instrumentation

Our client is a well-established company specializing in the development, installation, and implementation of geotechnical and structural monitoring systems, as well as acoustic and vibration control. It has completed projects in more than fifteen countries and, in order to support its sales team, is currently seeking an Inside Sales and Technical Support Specialist.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Sales and Business Development, your main mandate will be to oversee the marketing and sales of the company's products and services and to provide technical advice to clients regarding the products and services offered. In addition, you will ensure the maintenance of excellent client relationships and work toward achieving the company's revenue and profitability objectives. In this role, you will:

  • Analyze technical instrumentation needs and specific clauses for tenders and prepare cost estimates;
  • Write technical proposals, including pricing;
  • Develop and present remote monitoring solutions;
  • Manage client files, from request/proposal to invoicing (full cycle including purchasing);
  • Organize structured follow-ups, including supplier and client order confirmations and deliveries;
  • Complete and maintain company records, including opportunities, quotes, orders, and client information;
  • Contribute to opportunity analysis and development with the sales team;
  • Attend trade shows and technical conferences on behalf of the company;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your role.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil engineering, construction engineering, geological engineering, etc.) or a college diploma (DEC) in a relevant engineering field (civil engineering, mineral technology, physical technology,
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in the civil engineering, geological engineering, mining engineering, or related sectors;
  • Specific knowledge of instrumentation (an asset);
  • Ability to write structured documents containing information of varying complexity;
  • Interest in the commercial aspect (sales process, product margin calculations, CRM management, client meetings, presentations, etc.);
  • Ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong team player;
  • Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written;
  • Possession of a valid passport and driver's license.
