Technical and Customer Service Advisor (Instrumentation and Control)

Our client, a company operating in the field of instrumentation and control and offering services in metrology, engineering, and the manufacturing of custom measurement instruments, is currently seeking a Technical and Customer Service Advisor.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Director of Operations, you will act as the main point of contact between the company and its clients. You will play a central role by providing personalized technical support, recommending suitable solutions, and ensuring efficient and rigorous customer service. This position combines technical, administrative, and relational responsibilities in an environment where precision and responsiveness are essential. In this role, you will:

  • Provide proactive customer service by working closely with clients to meet their needs and deliver an optimal experience;
  • Coordinate deliveries with clients, carriers, and the shipping department to ensure deadlines are met;
  • Prepare quotes and enter orders into the computer system, in collaboration with the accounting department, and follow up on them;
  • Draft and prepare service agreements for clients;
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with suppliers;
  • Maintain effective collaboration with subcontractors to ensure requests are handled quickly and in compliance;
  • Ensure the adjustment and accuracy of parts inventory;
  • Actively contribute to sales development by identifying opportunities and proposing products and services tailored to client needs;
  • Perform any other tasks compatible with your duties.

Required qualification

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Automated Systems Electromechanics, Maintenance Electricity, or other relevant training;
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Proficiency in French and English (English language skills are important for this position to communicate effectively with clients and partners);
  • Knowledge of the Office suite, particularly Word and Excel;
  • Knowledge in the field of metrology and instrumentation will be considered an asset.
