Project Manager (Industrial Equipment and Systems)
Our client is a company specializing in the development of industrial solutions primarily intended for the pulp and paper sector. With expertise developed over several years, the company helps producers optimize their processes, better monitor their production, and improve the efficiency of their operations through proven systems. Our client is currently looking for a Project Manager.
Nature of position
Under the supervision of the company's management, you will be responsible for supervising, in the plant, the work of subcontractors during the installation of industrial equipment and systems, in addition to providing technical assistance to clients and participating in the configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supervising subcontractors during system installation;
- Commissioning systems, performing calibration, configuration, and final validations;
- Training operators and the maintenance team;
- Providing technical support (in the office and on site);
- Maintaining accurate records of service activities, parts used, and client interactions;
- Collaborating with team members to ensure projects are completed on time while complying with safety standards;
- Performing the annual audit of systems;
- Providing technical sales support by advising clients on equipment upgrades or additional services;
- Proposing and monitoring improvements related to the operating methods of the company's clients in order to optimize production lines;
- Analyzing data and trends to identify equipment weaknesses and recommend solutions;
- Evaluating existing processes and determining the need for additional analysis or research;
- Performing any other tasks compatible with your duties.
Required qualification
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or a college diploma (DEC) in a relevant discipline (mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, etc.) or other relevant training;
- Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written (proficiency in English is essential to collaborate effectively with clients);
- Be available to travel to client sites in Quebec and Canada (travel to the United States may also be required);
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively resolve complex issues;
- Possess a valid passport and driver's license;
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members;
