Our client is a highly recognized manufacturing partner of major OEMs and specializes in high-precision machining, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, design, and engineering. To support its continued growth, our client is currently seeking a Manager – Electrical Engineering.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Vice-President, Design and Engineering, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians specialized in electrical design, automation, and the maintenance of complex industrial equipment. Your role will be to oversee, plan, and supervise team members and projects. In this capacity, you will be responsible for:

• Leading team members through their various tasks and projects;
• Supporting team members in their development in order to optimize team performance;
• Establishing, validating, and monitoring project schedules and cost estimates;
• Actively participating in project meetings and communicating with staff from various departments;
• Ensuring that project requirements are addressed;
• Ensuring that proposed solutions are technically functional, safe, and compliant with applicable standards;
• Providing technical input in system design and diagnostics;
• Structuring and continuously improving work methods to increase productivity and quality;
• Performing any other duties compatible with your role.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience;
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code;
• Advanced spoken and written English, due to the high volume of international clients and partners;
• Proficiency with AutoCAD software and knowledge of CSA and UL standards applicable to industrial equipment will be considered assets;
• Experience in machine safety will be considered an asset.
