Our client, a company specializing in advanced wireless intelligence solutions that provide mission-critical capabilities to defense, national security, and law enforcement organizations worldwide, is currently seeking an Event Marketing and Engagement Manager.

Nature of position

Reporting to the marketing manager, you will be responsible for the company's event marketing strategy. You will help increase the company's visibility at international trade shows, strengthen its presence within key industry communities, and create impactful experiences that elevate the brand among customers, partners, government organizations, and industry influencers. In this role, you will:

• Developing and implementing the company's global event marketing strategy across the defence and public safety sectors;
• Planning and managing the full execution of international trade shows, conferences, webinars, customer events, partner events, and corporate initiatives;
• Demonstrating a strong interest in advanced technologies and the ability to quickly understand new technical concepts;
• Continuously improving the visitor experience at company trade shows through innovative booth concepts, demonstrations, meeting spaces, and customer engagement initiatives;
• Managing the company's participation in strategic industry communities and identifying opportunities to increase brand visibility throughout the year;
• Organizing VIP events for executives, customers, partners, government organizations, and industry leaders;
• Preparing business cases for new events and continuously evaluating existing programs based on effectiveness, return on investment, and strategic value;
• Coordinating trade show logistics, budgets, shipping, vendor management, booth construction, travel, demonstrations, and on-site execution;
• Working closely with the business development, product management, marketing operations, and executive teams to maximize the impact of events;
• Working with sales teams to manage prospect lists generated at events and integrate them into marketing and CRM platforms;
• Developing pre-event and post-event communications, promotional campaigns, landing pages, email campaigns, and related digital assets;
• Evaluating opportunities for speaking engagements, sponsorships, media relations, and strategic networking;
• Managing external vendors and negotiating favourable agreements while ensuring flawless execution;
• Establishing best practices for event planning, pre-event preparation, post-event analysis, and continuous improvement;
• Performing any other duties consistent with the position.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;
• A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in event marketing or field marketing;
• Experience planning and executing international trade shows and executive-level customer events;
• Experience with marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot and modern project management tools;
• Availability for international travel approximately 20% to 30% of the time, primarily within Canada, the United States, and Europe;
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills are required to represent the company with international customers and partners, particularly at trade shows and industry events;
• Strong project management, negotiation, and vendor management skills;
• Experience in the defence, aerospace, national security, telecommunications, wireless technology, or other advanced technology sectors is considered an asset;
• Experience organizing VIP events and activities for customers, government representatives, defence organizations, or large corporations is considered an asset.
