Process Performance Project Manager
Our client, an engineering firm serving an international clientele and providing advanced process control solutions, products, and services designed to increase the productivity and flexibility of plants operating continuous manufacturing processes (energy, thermal power plants, pulp and paper, petrochemicals, food processing, oil and gas, and mining and metals), is currently seeking a Process Performance Project Manager.
Nature of position
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will act as the primary point of contact for clients and work closely with the Technical Lead and project team to ensure the success of various performance optimization projects from technical, financial, and people-management perspectives. You will also play a key role in developing internal expertise and coordinating efforts across projects in collaboration with other Project Managers and management. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting preliminary audits to identify improvement opportunities and technical solutions;
- Monitoring project schedules and managing the achievement of objectives using agile project management tools;
- Preparing project proposals and estimating associated costs;
- Participating in business development and sales meetings;
- Leading client presentations and technical discussions;
- Supporting technical teams in the design, configuration, validation, and commissioning of advanced control strategies and dynamic process simulations;
- Managing suppliers involved in projects;
- Managing client relationships throughout the project lifecycle;
- Leading project execution and delivery;
- Coordinating and supervising project teams;
- Managing project budgets and financial performance;
- Planning and managing resource utilization across your project portfolio;

Required qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another related field;
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience;
- Project management experience, including industrial automation projects;
- Project management experience, including industrial automation projects;
- Knowledge of and/or experience with industrial processes and process control;
- Knowledge of and/or experience with DCS or PLC configuration is an asset;
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), or eligible to become a member within a short period of time;
- Knowledge of and/or experience with energy studies or energy management systems is an asset;
- Industrial experience involving commissioning is an asset;
- Proficiency in spoken and written French and English (proficiency in English is essential for this position, as it facilitates communication with a diverse range of business partners, both nationally and internationally).
