Our client, an international company specializing in industrial automation solutions as well as professional and continuing technical training, is a major player in the development of advanced technologies for a wide range of industries. Present in more than 60 countries and committed to sustainability and innovation, the organization brings together a team of technical experts, engineers, and designers to transform industrial processes on a global scale. Our client is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer.

Nature of position

Reporting to the Team Leader – Electrotechnical Engineering, you will actively contribute to the management of development projects, the design of new products, and the improvement and maintenance of existing products. You will work in several areas of electrical engineering, including power electronics, motor management and control, renewable energy systems, and the design of renewable energy source emulators. In this role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing product development and maintenance projects, ensuring their quality and alignment with client needs;
  • Designing innovative educational solutions in the field of electrical engineering, including motor control, automation, industrial electrotechnics, energy systems, process control, and related areas;
  • Contributing to all phases of the development cycle, including analysis, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance;
  • Sizing motors, transformers, and electrical components for educational solutions;
  • Monitoring technological developments to support product evolution;
  • Providing technical support to production and customer service teams;
  • Designing and operating circuits incorporating microcontrollers, as well as creating printed circuit boards (PCBs);
  • Performing any other related duties connected to your responsibilities.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical field, or any other combination of relevant education and experience;
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);
  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues internationally;
  • Knowledge of the C programming language, an asset;
  • Ability to work as part of a team with multidisciplinary stakeholders;
  • Strong autonomy and sense of responsibility in project management;
  • Completion of the IGEE teaching program, an asset.
