5 bad reasons to quit your job

As with the vast majority of workers, you will spend more time at work in your lifetime than at home with your family. It is therefore completely normal to wish to have good conditions, understanding bosses and pleasant colleagues to be around. However, it is important to keep expectations realistic as much as possible. So here are 5 reasons why you should "not" want to change jobs at any cost.

You are not satisfied with your salary

First of all, if you’re just starting your career, you can’t expect to make a big dent in the early years. You must allow yourself time to gain the necessary experience. Of course, salary is an important issue when you are thinking about changing jobs, however, don't forget all of the “next door”. Consider the distance you have to travel by car and how much it will cost, the cost of parking, the cafeteria meal and benefits. These are all aspects which are not part of the salary, but which remain important to consider in order not to end up losing.

You are in conflict with a work colleague

Wanting to leave work to avoid having to face certain conflicts is certainly not the right decision to make. First, the experience may repeat itself elsewhere as well. Tell yourself, rotten apples are everywhere. Also, are you really going to quit a job you love because there is tension with one person? Better to discuss it and try to resolve the situation responsibly.

You are no longer happy in your position

You love the company you work for, you have good conditions and you have nothing negative to say about your bosses and colleagues. However, you are no longer happy in what you do. Before you leave it all, think of other opportunities that may arise internally. Discuss it with your boss, who knows, maybe just adjusting your tasks and duties will get you back in the beginning!

You argued with your immediate supervisor / your immediate supervisor criticizes you

Before you lay the blame on your boss, ask yourself if he is really the cause of your unhappiness or if the problem is rather on your side. Are you open to constructive criticism? Do you think you know everything and the slightest remark offends you? Perhaps an introspection could prove positive in your case and you will see that your boss is not against you, but, on the contrary, he tries to make you progress professionally.

You haven’t received the promotion you expected

If, again, you were not the lucky one to receive this famous promotion, start asking yourself questions and analyzing what the person who received it does differently from you. Perhaps, where you work, it’s not well seen when you limit yourself to the bare minimum and other employees are dedicated body and soul to the work. Try to figure out what you could change or improve so you have a better chance next time.
